I promise that my life is not all doom and gloom. There are bright spots; so maybe I should share that a little more.
Today I am grateful for:
Having a chance to come together last night with others from St. Thomas’ (my parish), St. Margaret’s, and St. Luke’s Episcopal Churches for dinner and fellowship and to talk about race and racism in America, using Jim Wallis’ book America’s Original Sin: Racism, White Privilege, and the Bridge to a New America. Uncomfortable, yes. But it’s a good discomfort that pushes our boundaries as the prophets pushes their people (and us) toward God’s justice.
What makes you uncomfortable but you’re still grateful for?
